AFRICA TOBACCO HARM REDUCTION FORUM (ATHRF)

Africa tobacco harm reduction forum is a bi-annual event that place every year. It is a discussion and networking platform designed to facilitate exchange of ideas among health practitioners, policy makers, academics and consumers from across African countries to get a better understanding on tobacco harm reduction and its role as a potential solution for smokers addicted to cigarette smoking. The key objectives of the forum are;

To disseminate knowledge from the global public health perspective about nicotine and tobacco harm reduction and raise awareness and debate about the concept of tobacco harm reduction
Present, discuss and challenge recent data related to the topic
To exchange ideas among participants on how best to move forward on the topics of harm reduction from scientific, public health, regulatory and social perspectives.
Provide an environment where regulatory authorities and policy makers may present to the scientific and medical communities their prospective course of action.
