As the umbrella organization for tobacco harm reduction advocates and groups across Africa, we promote strong partnerships at national, regional, and international levels. Through a range of forums and collaborative platforms, we facilitate the exchange of information, experience, and best practices among harm reduction advocates.
We are committed to strengthening local tobacco harm reduction organizations, enabling them to expand their impact within their respective countries. Our work supports national movements by helping them operate more effectively and sustainably.
This includes building and enhancing the skills, capacities, systems, and resources that THR organizations need to survive, adapt, and thrive in evolving public health and policy environments.
Capacity building is central to advancing our mission. It allows us to maintain focus, refine strategy, and identify the most effective ways to achieve our vision.
We help organizations establish strong foundations for projects, assess internal performance and external outcomes, and develop strategic partnerships that amplify their reach and influence.
Through these efforts, the Campaign for Safer Alternatives is fostering a robust harm reduction ecosystem across Africa. Our capacity-building initiatives focus on strengthening collaborative networks and equipping organizations with the skills, knowledge, and tools needed to create, improve, and sustain tobacco harm reduction programs and infrastructures throughout the continent.
